SCHOLARSHIP 2024 Winners

CWA LOCAL 1085 ANNUAL YOUTH ORGANIZATION GRANT

CWA Local 1085 will award ten $500.00 Youth Organization Grants to local youth organizations such as sports leagues, scouting troops, or creative organizations. Current Local 1085 members and their immediate families are eligible to apply and must be a part of the organization receiving the funds.

Applications must be received by July 31, 2024. The application forms can be obtained below. 

 Requirements: Grant funds can be used for jerseys, costumes, trophies, awards, equipment or supplies. Funds cannot be used for food, banquet, staff stipends or non-youth focused endeavors. Grantees must acknowledge CWA Local 1085 in some way and submit proof of acknowledgement in the form of a photograph, video of the event, or testimonial by end of grant cycle. Failure to provide documentation will prohibit the organization from future grants. 

Award: CWA Local 1085 Youth Organization Grant Committee will select the recipients based on community engagement, benefit to youth, performance of organization and impact the funds will have on the organization. Organizations selected to receive the grant will receive a confirmation letter via email. Funds will be distributed by check and the recipient organization must request funds within 30 days of notification.

Funds must be used by the end of the current grant cycle; 8/1/24-7/1/2025.

Eligibility: Current CWA Local 1085 members and their immediate family. 

Application: The electronic or paper completed application form must be received by the Local office no later than July 31, 2024.
