Webinar: CWA's Campaign to Stop Skyrocketing Healthcare Costs

Attention CWA Local 1085 Brothers & Sisters,

Enough is enough. Year after year, our members and other State and County workers in New Jersey are forced to shoulder the burden of rising healthcare costs - we’ve faced nearly 30% increases for state workers and 40% for local government workers to our healthcare premiums in the past two years. This is out of control, and we’re stepping up to put a stop to it.

During this legislative session, CWA is launching a major campaign to address the healthcare affordability crisis and developing legislation to address the crisis in three main ways:

1. Require affordable premiums for local government workers

2. Require cost-controls to help contain the rising prices of healthcare services and medications but protect against cost-shifting to our members, protecting all New Jerseyans

3. Improve governance and transparency of how healthcare rates are calculated and implemented and improve the Union's participation in decision-making when it comes to our plans and costs.

This isn’t going to be easy - we’re taking on the powerful insurance industry and titans of the State - so we’re going to need everyone to step up, get involved, and help us win!
